Tick, Tock... Breaking Dawn
Twilight!

What do you get when you get Harry Potter, a couple of vampires, a girl or two and then throw in a bit of romance? The Twilight Saga. Some of the first midnight releases other than Harry Potter? The Twilight saga. 'The next harry Potter'? The Twilight saga.

It's fame and popularity started at an unfortunate time: The release of the fastest selling book ever, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. People thought this was bad, but they were wrong. Nobody read it straight away, they were too busy with Deathly Hallows. But after Deathly Hallows, there was nothing to read. So people started to read something named the Twilight saga. They read these and absolutely loved them. People who had envied MuggleNet and Leaky Cauldron all there lives began to make Twilight fansites. And here we are in 2008, Twilight being almost as popular as fantasy masterpieces such as Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings and the chronicles of Narnia. Of course, the popularity didn't stop. The books came quickly, but the fandom grew even faster. People who had seen amazing Harry Potter websites began to make twilight versions. The Twilight Lexicon and more. Even a few main MuggleNet and MuggleCast people made a Twilight website and podcast, Twilightsource.com, often plugged on MuggleCast, to Mikey B's frustration. There are even the "ridiculous" Pansy/Ron shippers who have moved on to be Edward/Jacob people. We're just waiting for the revelation for Edward to be gay. And then came the movies. Fantastic casting, and director, and they're looking like they'll be very good.

The freewebs are amazing, stuff of legends, and the myspaces and bebos... some people are wondering how they ever read Harry Potter when Twilight was out there. What's next? Vampire rock? Stephanie Myers has even helped people to start reading some classic literature about vampires, such as Dracula, Revenge of Dracula, and the earliest but probably least famous, Varney the Vampire of the Feast of Blood. It's also helped TV people. More people are watching the movie versions of these, and even Buffy the Vampire Slayer is getting more popular.

So, typically, at 9:16 AM I go 'oh, wait! Breaking Dawn comes out... just over 12 hours? I've got until midnight to do a big Twilight place!' Here we go...
