Mr Monday by Garth Nix
Arthur penhaligon never forgot that Monday morning. He was meant to be dead. In fact the only thing keeping him alive was a magic key in the shape of a clock-hand. Worse still was the fact that a new strain of flu (code named sleepy plague by the way) was about to be unleashed. The only way to find a cure was to go into the mysterious house that had appeared near his home. There he discovers that he is the heir to the mysterious keys to the house in which he hopes to find a cure for the disease that plagues his home. As he enters he finds many new friends and enemies. How will he know what to do? I think it is a good book. It has plenty of surprises to keep you busy. Garth Nix is a good author with only one flaw, some of his books go on for so long that I lose track of what I am reading. His stories are excellent. He makes many twists and turns to put you off track of what is happening. He puts a lot of feeling into his writing and he shows a lot of creativity. If you want to find out more get the book.

Molly Moon,Micky Minus and the Mind Machine
This book is FANTABULOUS!! The plot, like all the Molly Moon books, is superb & the dialouge is quite realistic. All I can say is, Gorgina Bying has done it again. This book follows a hypnotist 11 year old girl (Molly) and her friend, Rocky + her pug ,petula into the unknown, looking for molly's lost twin brother. In shock ,Molly watches her brother being snatched away from the hospital and follows the thief. there she meets princess Fang. Death's Shadow by Darren Shan
Darren Shans new book, Deaths shadow was the next book from his "The Demonata" Series and at this crucial point of the storyline things are just heating up. Its the seventh release of The Demonata series and it is one of the best.It comes to a shocking conclusion at the end and the story unfolds the more you read the more you want to read. I enjoyed reading each word of this book, But be warned, Starting this series of books at book 5 could ruin the story. Anyway, I loved this book because it grabs you and makes you want to learn more Its excited, Never boring and gives you the spooks when your sitting in your bed reading at night! Id say this book is perfect from anything between 8 and 14 or even older! This book topped the charts in Ireland and the last instalment of the series, "Demon Apocalypse" Was a best seller in America too! Anyone into Goosebumps, Or A good 'ol mystery book would love this series. Its about... Wait just one second, Why dont you read it for yourself! I rate this book a 9.5/10 And i for one can say im looking forward to Darren's next book, Wolf island! But this book leaves you pondering one question.
Can you really cheat Death?

Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Eragon by Christopher Paolini is a fantastic story, with an amazing plot. It’s about a normal farm boy named Eragon, whose life changes when he finds a dragon egg in the forest. Eragon is a young boy who is about to reach manhood. He must go on a treacherous adventure with the king sending monsters and soldiers to find him. In his village there is an old man named Brom. Brom is a storyteller and came to the village fifteen years ago. No one knows his mysterious past and when Eragon decides to run away with his dragon, Brom decides to come aswell. The dragon’s name is Saphira and she sticks with Eragon as a main part of the adventure. I like this book because… well, I can’t quite put my finger on it. My favourite scene or part of the book would be… the part where these monsters are attacking Eragon and his dragon (I’m not going to give away the rest of that scene – spoilers. I can’t wait to read more and the part I’ve read so far (I’m rereading it) is fantastic. I’d give it a 9/10. In this book you never know who can be trusted.
