Hi. I'm here again.
The section of the site called 'Willy Wonka's Recipes' is back, and to bring it in, we've actually invented a chocolate bar. A few chocolate bars. The rest will be up soon.
We've
got an interview with Darren Shan.
He revealed a few things that I'd call surprising... He doesn't like Twilight
and his favourite book as a child was The Secret Garden...
Christmas Competition Open Now
Posted 22nd November 2009
Hi everyone.
The Christmas Competition is now open and you just email your name, entry and
email address to
ciaran@bestbooks4ever.com. It couldn't be easier!
Here's what you have to do.
Tell us about your favourite Christmas present ever in between 30 and 80 words.
Here's a short example I put together:
"My favourite Christmas present ever was the iPod Nano that I got a few years ago. I still have it now. The reason I like it is because I can listen to days of music on it and it's great for car journeys. I can also play games like Vortex and the iPod Quiz and I listen to tons of podcasts, too."
That's more that 50 words. The top 5 prizes are family passes to 7Up Christmas On Ice. Get entering!

Fantastic Mr. Fox Premiere Last Night
Posted 15th October 2009
Hi guys,
STARS turned out in force last night for the world premiere of
Fantastic Mr Fox –
the
latest film to be adapted from a classic Roald Dahl adventure.
The
stop-motion version of the much-loved children’s tale is the first ever
animation to be given the honour of opening the Times BFI London Film Festival.
Director Wes Anderson led the praise for Dahl, the Welsh-born author of classics
such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda, saying he grew up on the
writer’s grizzly tales.
The film, which relies heavily on old-fashioned stop-motion animation, stars Hollywood heavyweights George Clooney, Meryl Streep and Bill Murray as Mr and Mrs Fox and Mr Badger, who take on evil farmers Boggis, Bunce and Bean, voiced by Brian Cox, Adrien Brody and Michael Gambon.

Darren Shan Reveals Info on Next Books...
Posted 05 September 2009
Many people have been asking Darren
Shan about life after The Demonata.
Finally,
he's told a group of people who get his newsletter about his two new series -
including a spin-off of The Saga of Darren Shan. Mr. Crepsley is
described as "[telling] the
orange-haired vampire's story, from when he was a boy, up until when he first
met Darren Shan at the Cirque Du Freak. We will find out how he came to be a
vampire, how he rose through the ranks, and why he ultimately turned his back on
the clan when it seemed as if he was destined for glory."
Secondly, The Thin Executioner is a one - off fantasy book released in The UK in May 2010.
" a fantasy-style novel, very dark, inspired in part by my response to the war in the Middle East that we've been suffering through in recent years, yet also by one of my all-time favourite novels, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn!!! ... It concerns a quest, mystical gods, grave-robbing, cannibalism, religious bigotry, and lots of other fun stuff like that!!!!"

Stephenie Meyer Copyright Charge
Posted 9th August 2009
The popular author of The Twilight
Series has been accused of copying from a different book. From Examiner.com:
Scott, 21, claims that Meyer’s novel, Breaking Dawn (2008), has “striking and substantial similarity” to her fantasy novel, The Nocturne (2006). The accusation details specific re-rendered scenes and similar dialog allegedly borrowed from The Nocturne. One specific detail cited in the Daily News is a mirroring in plot specifying “a post-wedding sex scene, a woman who is ill because she's pregnant with a child with evil powers, and a scene in which the main character's wife dies.” Meyer’s representative adamantly dismisses the charges:
"The claim that 'Breaking Dawn' by Stephenie Meyer somehow infringes on an alleged book by someone named Jordan Scott is completely without merit. Neither Stephenie Meyer nor her representatives had any knowledge of this writer or her supposed book prior to this claim."
